Junior UX Designer

Join BroadSoft at the forefront of the communications revolution. Our UX team crafts user experiences for the enterprise communications apps that work with BroadSoft’s industry-leading network communications platform, including phone, chat, screen sharing, and call center applications.

The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of user-centered design principles and stay current with the latest trends in interaction and visual design. You will work closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and BroadSoft’s international UX team throughout all stages of the product lifecycle. You will generate wireframes, high fidelity mockups, and design analysis on a daily basis. You are a creative problem solver with a great design sense, a love of technology, and an ability to thoughtfully balance many design inputs. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow best-practice UX processes to create industry-leading user experiences 

  • Develop use cases, storyboards, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes 

  • Optimize designs through task analysis, and thoughtful and systematic usability 

  • Develop pixel perfect visual assets 

  • Create style guides and detailed UI specs 

  • Build rapid prototypes of UI 

  • Participate in and plan user testing, surveys, etc., and iterate designs based on 
user and customer feedback 


  • BS/BA or MS/MA in interaction design, HCI, or related discipline; and no more than 2 years of UX experience 

  • Portfolio that exhibits visual and interaction design: design rationale, design specs, user workflows, excellent graphic design, a thoughtful process, and strong design deliverables 

  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complexity and create highly-usable solutions 

  • Knowledge in Adobe software. Also helpful: diagramming tools such as 
Omnigraffle or Visio, and wireframing/prototyping tools such as Axure or 

  • Strong, clean visual design sense 

  • Knowledge of latest design standards and design trends 

  • A passion for users and improving designs based on user data
